  • Towards an understanding of the phytobiome

Towards an understanding of the phytobiome (PHYTOBIOM)
The PhytobioM pole aims to decipher the diversity and dynamics of the interactions between plants and their microbiota in response to environmental changes to meet the challenges of plant health within tropical and Mediterranean agro-ecosystems.

  • Understanding epidemics in the field

The PRISM department studies how environmental factors affect the demography and performance of pests (viruses, fungi, insect pests and vectors) and their impact on the yield of cultivated perennial plants.

  • InTeractions – Evolution and Mechanisms (ITEM)

InTeractions – Evolution and Mechanisms (ITEM)
The ITEM department is interested in the molecular dialogue and the evolutionary processes that determine the interaction between plants and pathogens.

  • Virus-vector-plant interactions (VIROM)

    Virus-vector-plant interactions (VIROM)
The ViroM department focuses on plant viruses and on the relationship with their insect vectors. The main research lines relates to the molecular/cellular interactions between the host plant, the virus and the vector, as well as to the dynamics of plant virus epidemics and virus evolution from the within-host scale to that of the landscape.
